Reeds Spring man charged in arson case

A man has been sentenced following a guilty plea to stealing over $100,000 and trying to burn down a house in Callaway County.

On Friday, Gerald Roark of Reeds Springs pleaded guilty to Second Degree Arson, First Degree Burglary, and Stealing $25,000 or more.

Roark reportedly admitted to starting a fire in a home between Fulton and Williamsburg in November of 2024.

The victim said Roark stole a safe that contained $108,000 before starting the fire.

His sentences totaled 11 years in prison.
