Salisbury woman dies in two-car crash

An 85-year-old Salisbury woman was killed yesterday (Wednesday) in a two-vehicle accident in Chariton County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 11:28 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 24 and Missouri 128 when the woman, who was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus, pulled out into the path of a 1994 Kenworth T4 semi and was struck in the side, according to the crash report.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.

The 44-year-old driver of the truck, from Glasgow, was not injured.
