Numerous schools went back to the classroom yesterday. Columbia Public Schools saw a total first day enrollment for the school district of 18,720 students. This represents a slight increase, 74 students, over the 2024-25 school year enrollment.

Those numbers are unofficial as the official enrollment number is computed on the last Wednesday of September as required by the state of Missouri.

Meanwhile, Mexico, Fulton, Macon and South Callaway schools are back in session today.
