Second Snow of the Year Hits Central and Northeast Missouri

Winter Storm Bellamy produced mid-Missouri’s first measurable snowfall of the season and created difficult driving conditions across Mid-Missouri on Saturday.

Now, Winter Storm Chan is set to move through the listening area today with anywhere from 1-5″ expected throughout the listening area.

Totals to the north are expected in the 2-4″ range, while 1-3 inches is expected from Highway 22 south. Localized zones of snowfall totals of 3″-5″ is possible. One zone is along the Highway 24 corridor, with another zone potentially setting up between Highway 54 and I-44 after the evening rush.

According to a social media post from MSHP’s Troop F they responded to over 100 class this weekend, including:

65 calls for service, 20 stranded motorists, 26 non-injury crashes and 4 injury crashes.
