A wrongful death lawsuit involving former Osage Beach police officer Phylicia Carson has reached a settlement.
Carson was killed while assisting in a high-speed pursuit of Christopher Wehmeyer last August.
Carson’s patrol car reportedly veered off the road and struck a tree.
Her family filed a lawsuit in September, and both sides settled on October 30 for $100,000.
The payment will come from Wehmeyer, his parents Curtis and Tami Wehmeyer, and Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance.
Wehmeyer also crashed that night and was later charged with multiple felonies, including second-degree murder and fleeing a traffic stop resulting in death.
