A New Franklin man is facing serious charges after a shots-fired incident at a downtown Boonville intersection and a related home invasion near New Franklin on Saturday evening.
Police say Carl A. Landrum III fired from inside a vehicle during an altercation on Main Street near Morgan Street around 6:15 p.m., then fled in the car.
No injuries were reported, and the stolen vehicle was later found near New Franklin, where Landrum was arrested.
Separately, the Howard County Sheriff’s Office investigated a home invasion in the Rosewood subdivision, with investigators linking Landrum to both incidents.
The Cooper County Prosecutor’s Office charged Landrum with first-degree robbery, three counts of armed criminal action, vehicle hijacking, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Landrum, who has prior robbery and firearm convictions, remains jailed in Cooper County with bond set at $350,000 as court proceedings continue.
