
A man from Silex, Missouri has been jailed in Montgomery County on drug trafficking charges after police say they found 73.8 grams of meth in his vehicle.
According to court documents, a Montgomery County deputy pulled over 25-year-old Garrett Day on State Highway 161 at Sunbeam Road on Saturday after noting the car was speeding.
The deputy described Day as acting erratically, prompting a search of the vehicle.
Inside the glove box, investigators found a bag containing methamphetamine.
Day allegedly told officers there was another baggie of meth in his sock as he was being taken to jail.
Prosecutors filed a felony count of Second Degree Trafficking Drugs, and misdemeanor counts for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit by 11-15 mph.
