St. Louis man in Columbia standoff

A 29-year old St. Louis man was arrested Saturday night, by Columbia police after a five-hour standoff in the 2700 block of Summit Road.

According to the Columbia Police Department, authorities responded to a domestic disturbance call at around 4:30 a.m. The victim had been assaulted and threatened with a weapon. They also identified Octavious Bradshaw as the suspect. An adult and a child were in the residence along with Bradshaw and SWAT officers and the Columbia Crisis Negotiation Teams were called in. They were able to peacefully take Bradshaw into custody at around 9:30 a.m..

Bradshaw was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, 1st and 4th-degree domestic assault, felony resisting arrest, second-degree property damage, felony warrants and a misdemeanor warrant.
