A Sturgeon man accused of a deadly shooting earlier this year is now facing additional felony charges.

Prosecutors say 32-year-old Dalton Perkins has been indicted on second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree domestic assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Deputies say Perkins shot and killed a 56-year-old man during a fight on Route NN in northern Boone County back in May.

Court documents say a witness reported Perkins also shot at them and then assaulted them.

Perkins remains in the Boone County Jail without bond.
