38-year old Blake Tekotte has been found guilty on both charges against him following his two-day trial in Boone County.

Tekotte, the former Hickman High star that had a brief career in the Major Leagues, was found guilty of second-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping.

Tekotte’s ex-girlfriend described Tekotte as having “mental issues,” despite loving him, and that she tried to work through those issues as she stayed with him for over a year after the attack.

She testified for three hours Wednesday, before wrapping up her testimony early Thursday morning.

During cross examination, she admitted that if he would have gotten help, she would have been willing to marry him.

A Sentencing hearing has been scheduled for August 25th.
