In college baseball yesterday, the Missouri Tigers put a bow on one of the worst season’s in program history with a 4-1 loss to Alabama, in the first round of the SEC tournament. Mizzou finished the year 16-39.
In MLB, Royals starter Michael Lorenzen was the loser last night as Kansas City fell to the San Francisco Giants, 3-2.
St. Louis Cardinals let one get away last night at Busch Stadium. Trailing 4-0 in the 5th, they climbed back into their contest with Detroit. They tied it up at four-all going into the 9th when Cards reliever Kyle Leahy gave up a go-ahead double, as the Tigers took game 2 of the three-game set, 5-4.
