Thomas arrested for meth distribution

A MUSTANG/DEA Task Force search warrant hit the jackpot Wednesday, when Callaway County deputies pulled over a Chevrolet Cruze on Highway 54 near State Road HH in Fulton, at 12:26am.

34-year-old Johnathon M. Thomas, of Holts Summit, was behind the wheel, literally of a methamphetamine sales investigation.

Law enforcement searched the vehicle and found a pound of meth in his vehicle. There was also a digital scale and some large plastic bags.

Thomas admitted that the drugs were his, that he had bought meth in St. Louis, that he sold meth for $300 per ounce, and that he had purchased and sold about 3.5 pounds of meth to people in Callaway County.

Prosecutors charged Thomas with Second Degree Trafficking Drugs, Delivering a Controlled Substance, Tampering With Physical Evidence In a Felony Prosecution, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was being held in the Callaway County jail on a No Bond warrant.
