Two Columbia Men Sentenced to 18 Years for Deadly 2022 Drive-By Shooting

Two Columbia men will spend the next 18 years in prison for their roles in a deadly 2022 drive-by shooting.

Prosecutors say 21-year-olds Oscar Ashford and Samarion Robins pleaded guilty earlier this month to second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

The charges stem from the February 2022 shooting that killed 13-year-old La’Abryion “Aubry” Doxley on McKee Street.

Two others were wounded but survived.

In court Monday, Aubry’s mother reportedly told the defendants she forgave them but reminded them her daughter will never have the chance to live her life.

A third suspect, Daniel Ayers, is awaiting trial in April.
