A Columbia drug trafficking case involving a Tesla Cybertruck has moved to federal court.
Prosecutors say 24-year-old Asia Schafer and 41-year-old Kenneth Williams face multiple federal charges stemming from a June traffic stop where police allegedly found 17 pounds of methamphetamine in a diaper bag.
Schafer is charged with conspiracy to distribute and three counts of possession with intent to distribute.
Williams faces two drug charges and one count of illegal gun possession.
Officers say they stopped the Cybertruck on Interstate 70 for window tint violations and discovered the drugs after a K-9 search.
Schafer remains in the Cole County Jail, while Williams is not listed on a jail roster.
