A Vandalia man who sparked a countywide search last year has pleaded guilty to domestic assault and illegal gun possession.
Prosecutors say 40-year-old Michael Ogden entered his child’s mother’s home in January 2025, pointed a gun at her, and threatened to kill her.
As a convicted felon, Ogden was barred from having firearms.
Authorities captured him weeks later during a traffic stop in Audrain County, where deputies found him with a handgun.
Ogden was sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count as part of a plea deal that dropped several other charges.
