Cool weather and staffing causing issues with the traditional Memorial Day opening of pools across the Country 96 listening area.

Jefferson City pools will open Wednesday, to include the Memorial Family Aquatic Center and Ellis-Porter Riverside Pool.

The Mexico pool, the Fairground Aquatic Center, will open Tuesday or Wednesday.

These pools were scheduled to be open yesterday, but are being delayed due to low temperature levels.

In Columbia, Albert-Oakland Pool is closed due to unseasonably cool temperatures, and will now open, along with Douglass, and Lake of the Woods— on May 30, weather permitting.

The Fulton Parks pool will not open until May 30 due to staffing issues.
