A 27-year old Wellsville woman was injured in a single vehicle accident Sunday, when a 29-year old Wellsville man drove a westbound 1970 sand buggy off of the right side of the gravel road, Pike County Road 423, and overturned. The accident happeend just west of State Route W.

The woman, a passenger in the buggy, was life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

The driver suffered moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a seat-belt.
