The Missouri Attorney General’s Office is filing a motion to dismiss civil rights violation charges against state employees involved with Carl Debrodie.
The state employees are separate from the five people who face criminal charges in Debrodie’s death.
The motion was filed yesterday (Tuesday) said the five defendants were unaware of any facts that could have led them to believe that DeBrodie was in any kind of danger.
The defendants in the motion to dismiss are Missouri Department of Mental Health Mark Stringer, and Division of Developmental Disabilities Valerie Huhn, Wendy Witcig, Marcy Volner, and Wendy Davis.
The defendants and the Department of Mental Health are said to have licensed and certified Second Chance Homes, the private facility that was in charge of Debrodie’s care.
Debrodie was found dead in a Fulton storage facility last year.
