KWWR Sports Report 10/30/21

The Mexico Bulldogs now know their opponent for Round 2 of Districts. Mexico had a first round bye last night (Friday) after securing a number one seed in their District bracket.

The Bulldogs will host the Eldon Mustangs on Friday, November 5th at Hawthorne Heights. Eldon is the 4th seed in the bracket and defeated Southern Boone 36-13 last night (Friday).

Rounding out the bracket will be a big time meeting between the 2nd seed Boonville Pirates and the 3rd seeded Blair Oaks Falcons.

Boonville moved on after beating Fulton 20-0 last night (Friday).

Blair Oaks advanced after a 53-0 shut-out Osage. he winners of the Mexico/Eldon and Boonville/Blair Oaks games will meet in the District Championship Game on Friday, November 12th.

  • Hermann advances out of the first round with a 27-6 victory over St. Francis Borgia
  • Kirksville beat Marshall 35-12
  • Brentwood edged out Louisiana 38-36
  • Macon 42 Clark County 6
  • Mark Twain blanked Principia 13-0
  • Warrenton outlasted Moberly 44-33
  • Monroe City big over Van-Far 70-16
  • Highland shut out Paris 60-0
  • Sedalia Smith-Cotton defeats Ruskin 35-12
  • South Callaway moving on after bearing Tipton 38-14
  • South Shelby with a 32-26 win on the road against Scotland County

In College Football today (Saturday) the Missouri Tigers will play the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kickoff is at 2pm.


The Atlanta Braves beat the Houston Astros 2-0 last night (Friday) in Game 3 of the World Series.

The Braves now have 2 games to one series advantage.

Game 4 takes place tonight in Atlanta with a 7:09 first pitch.


The St. Louis Blues host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight (Saturday) at the Enterprise Center.

Puck drops at 7.
