Mexico Boys and Girls Bulldogs Basketball Montgomery County Tournament Champs

The Mexico boys and girls Bulldogs basketball teams were both victorious tonight (Saturday) and are the 2021 Montgomery County tournament champions.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs started off the night with a 45-36 victory against the Montgomery County Lady Wildcats.

Riley Thurman led all scorers with 14 points.

Mya Miller put up another double digit performance with 13, Mya was also selected to the Montgomery County All-Tournament Team.

With the win Mexico girls improved to 3-1 on the season.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys took out the Fulton Hornets 73-61 to win their second consecutive Montgomery County tournament.

Isaiah Reams had a monster night with 23 points and sunk 4-3 pointers.

Isaiah was named the Montgomery County tournament MVP.

DJ Long and Peyton Willer each had 12 points respectively.

Michael White got into double digits with 10 points.

Daeye Miller had 7 points and 3 blocks.

Jordan Shelton pitched in 7 points and was named to the All-Montgomery County Tournament Team.

The Mexico boys pushed their record to a perfect 3-0. Up next both the boys and girls open up NCMC play at home on Tuesday night against the Marshall Owls.
