KWWR Sports Report 12/23/21
The Missouri Tigers football team lost a 24-22 heartbreaker to Army in the Armed Forces Bowl last night (Wednesday).
The Tigers claimed a 22-21 lead with just 1:11 left in the game.
Then Army went down the field with a pair of first down completions and a 13-yard rush.
Army sent out the field goal unit, with just 3 seconds remaining and Cole Talley sunk a 41-yard field goal to snatch the victory.
Missouri Tigers basketball went 1-1 in Braggin’ Rights games against Illinois yesterday (Wednesday).
The Mizzou Women improved to 11-2 with an 84-65 victory over Illinois on the road.
Five Tigers finished in double figures including 18 points and 15 rebounds from Aijha Blackwell who picked up her ninth double double of the season.
The Mizzou men dropped their Braggin’ Rights contest 88-63 against Illinois.
Freshman Trevon Brazile had a career night for the Tigers with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 blocks.
