Boone County Prosecutor Not Seeking Reelection
Dan Knight, prosecuting attorney for Boone County, is announcing that he is not going to run for reelection.
Knight has been the elected prosecutor for 15 years and has worked in the prosecutor’s office for 29 years.
Knight says he is considering a run for Boone County Circuit Court judge in 2024.
One candidate has filed for the prosecutor seat, Columbia attorney Roger Johnson.
Johnson is a former assistant attorney general and first assistant prosecutor for Boone County.
