The Mexico boys tennis team lost 8-1 to the Missouri Military Academy yesterday (Monday). Brendan McKeown won in a tiebreaker. Head Coach Tony Senor says “Brendan won a big time match and improved to 13-5 on the season.”

Up next the Mexico boys will play in the North Central Missouri Conference tournament tomorrow (Wednesday). Then Districts at home on Friday.

The St. Louis Cardinals shutout the Kansas City Royals 1-0 at Busch Stadium yesterday afternoon (Monday).

Redbirds starting pitcher Steven Matz did not give up a walk or a run.

Paul Goldschmidt provided the only run in the game with a first inning home run.

The Cardinals and Royals play in Kansas City tonight with a 7:10 first pitch.

The St. Louis Blues took out the Minnesota Wild 4-0 in Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round last night (Monday) in Minnesota.

David Perron scored a hat trick and had an assist, and Ville Husso made 37 saves for the Blues.

It was Husso’s first career start in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

He is the first goalie in Blues history to get a shutout in his postseason debut.

Game 2 will be played in Minnesota tomorrow night (Wednesday).
