Mexico Man and Illinois Man Injured in Audrain County Accident Involving Two Semi Trucks

A Mexico man and an Illinois man have injuries after an accident in Audrain County this morning (Thursday).

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports it happened at 7:20 this morning (Thursday) on US 54 westbound at Audrain County Road 737.

A semi driven by 61-year-old David D. Lambert of Rockport, Illinois hit the rear of a towed unit of a semi that was stopped to make a left turn.

The driver of the second semi was 58-year-old Larry L. Peacock of Mexico. Peacock and Lambert were both taken by ambulance to the University Hospital with serious injuries.

It took around an hour to clear the scene of the accident involving the two semi trucks.
