In the All Star Game last night, it was the American League coming away the victor, 3-2 over the National League.

The National League got on the board first with 2 runs in the first inning before the American League scored 3 in the fourth inning.

Paul Goldschmidt’s 415 foot solo home run in the bottom of the first was the last run to score for the National League.

In other Cardinals news, they wrapped up the MLB Draft yesterday with 20 players selected including 19 collegians and 1 high school prep player.

They selected 13 pitchers, a catcher, two infielders and four outfielders.

Eight of the Cards’ picks hail from the state of California.
