Suspect Arrested After Car Chase in Callaway County

A car chase that began Thursday in Callaway County ended near Katy Trail Bridge yesterday. The suspect was arrested.

Multiple law enforcement agencies became involved after the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a stolen blue GMC Sierra from a small business outside of Fulton. At 5:03pm, a K9 Deputy observed the stolen vehicle in a gas station parking lot in Millersburg, but when the Sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over the truck, the suspect drove off.

The chase went across various streets in Boone County before getting on I-70. The vehicle exited near Rocheport and continued west on Highway 40.

As the suspect neared the Katy Trail Bridge, he jumped out of the vehicle and ran on foot near Salt Creek where the suspect was taken into custody at 5:32pm.

The suspect was armed with a stolen firearm and taken into custody and transported back to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on no bond.
