Temporary Speed Limit Changes on Highway KK to be Enforced Until Repairs Made

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Department is warning motorists of speed limit changes on a county highway.

In a Facebook post yesterday (Wednesday), the agency says that the speed limit on Highway KK between Highways B and J has been reduced by MoDOT due to road damage.

The speed limit is reduced to 45 miles per hour with some areas reduced to 35 miles per hour.

Residents in the area have reported significant damage to the road in the past several days.

That section of Highway KK is scheduled to be resurfaced beginning later this month.

Since the speed limit has been reduced by MoDOT, those limits are enforceable by law enforcement according to the sheriff’s office.
