Jefferson City Man Seriously Wounded After Shooting During Domestic Dispute
Yesterday afternoon, the Jefferson City Police Department responded to reports of someone being shot at 125 N Ventura Avenue, Apt C. Upon arrival, officers found a 46-year-old male had been shot during a domestic dispute. Officers secured the scene, the victim was transported first to a local hospital, then transferred to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
The victim was wanted by the JCPD for prior domestic assault occurring at this same address. Detectives are currently investigating the weapons offense and its relationship to the earlier domestic violence call.
A 30-year-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident.
