Fire at Robnett Automotive Could Have Been Much Worse
Robnett Automotive just south of Mexico on Route JJ, suffered significant damage to the main shop from a fire Friday night. A vehicle caught fire several hours after the shop had closed for the night.
An alarm system, nearby neighbors and area firefighters helped to minimize the damage and keep the building from being a total loss.
Nobody was hurt in the blaze. The building did suffer significant damage as well as some damage to vehicles.
In a Facebook post, Robnett said he expects the main shop to be shut down for a bit and while they will keep working on vehicles they are already working on in another building, they will halt scheduling anything new for the next week or so.
