Soybean Festival Promises to be a Good Time Friday and Saturday

This morning we spoke with Marissa Lightsey and Reagan Mudd, both from the Mexico Jaycees Soybean Festival this weekend.

It looks like this year should be fun. They’ve brought back the carnival and added more variety and craft beers to the beer garden. There will be several food trucks along with carnival food vendors.

Friday from 5 – 12 the carnival, beer garden and music will light up the square area.

Saturday – Vendor booths open at 8am, the parade is at 10 and will feature the marching bands of Mexico High School and the Missouri Military Academy as well as farming equipment and floats. In the afternoon the carnival rides open and there’s a Cornhole Tournament. Both evenings wristbands are available, unlimited rides for $25.

Also, if you’re looking for extra cash, contact the Soybean Festival through Facebook. The Carnival is hiring hourly workers for the weekend, starting today.
