Veterans Get Help From OATS Following Grant Receipt
Mid-Missouri veterans will now be able to ride OATS Transit fare-free thanks to a grant from Veterans United Foundation.
The $10,000 grant will be used by OATS Transit to provide rides to veterans for no fare, and transport veterans to the annual Entrepreneurship Boot Camp hosted by the University of Missouri.
OATS Transit provides service to the VA Hospital in Columbia and VA Clinics in five neighboring cities as well.
Seventeen percent of OATS Transit’s 565 employees are also veterans.
