MPSD Responds to Garage Fire Friday Night
A fire in the 500 block of Yale Friday night heavily damages a garage and claims the life of a family pet.
Mexico Public Safety was called to the fire at 7:17 and found heavy smoke in the garage area and were able to extinguish it quickly.
The garage sustained heavy damage with the rest of the home receiving smoke damage.
The occupants were uninjured, however the family cat died due to smoke inhalation.
