KWWR Sports Report 10/28/22

It’s week 10 of high school football and the start of District play tonight.

Mexico has a first round bye.

Games we’re following include:

  • Louisiana at Crystal City
  • South Callaway hosts Tipton
  • Harrisburg heads to Cole Camp
  • Paris with Madison & Faith Walk is on the road to Monroe City
  • Westran hosts Salisbury
  • South Shelby is at home taking on Scotland County
  • Highland heads to Center to play Mark Twain
  • North Callaway heads to Father Tolton
  • Clark County hosts Montgomery County
  • Palmyra heads to Hallsville
  • Macon hosts Lathrop
  • Eldon is on the road to Southern Boone
  • Boonville hosts Fulton
  • Winfield with Elsberry is on the road in Kirksville
  • Helias hosts Liberty from Wentzville
  • Battle heads south on 63 to Capital City
  • It’s a cross town battle in Columbia as the Bruins of Rock Bridge host the Hickman Kewpies

Class 4 softball will crown a champion later today as Helias and Kearney vie for the championship. In the consolation game yesterday, Washington beat Warrenton to take third place. First pitch in the championship game is at 10 this morning.

In Class 1 semifinal action today, it’s Salisbury taking on Polo at 1:30, for Class 2, Eugene faces Marceline and Russellville gets Sherwood in semifinal action. First pitch for both games is at 11 this morning.

In Class 3 semifinals, it’s Fatima taking on Westminster Christian and Bowling Green facing Chillicothe with Noon start times.

All of the final four games are taking place in Springfield.
