Lincoln University of Missouri Gets Technology Grant
Lincoln University of Missouri in Jefferson City is getting upgraded technology thanks to a grant.
The $2.9 million grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program will provide students with new Chromebooks, upgraded classroom technology, and additional mobile wi-fi hotspots.
The Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program aims to directly address the lack of broadband access, connectivity, adoption, and equity at the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Minority-Serving Institutions and their surrounding communities.
The Lincoln grant will also fund the hiring of a full-time student technology coordinator who will be responsible for setting up the Chromebooks and hotspots.
