New Year’s Day House Fire in Mexico

A New Year’s Day fire in Mexico damages a home on West Pearson.

According to Mexico Public Safety, they were called to the structure fire just before 5:00 in the evening and found a small fire in the attic above a light.

The fire was contained to that area and extinguished.

Three ceiling joists sustained significant fire damage and the room below received minor water damage.

The resident stated that one of the circuit breakers for that part of the home had tripped a couple of times earlier in the day.
