Mexico-Audrain County Library District Servers Attacked

Servers at the Mexico-Audrain County Library District are down following a suspected ransomware attack.

According to District Director Christal Bruner, the District is working with not only their service provider but a third-party company to verify the attack and determine what can be done to resume normal operations.

The facilities remain open, but online databases, online card catalog and circulation services have all been disrupted.

Patrons can still check items out but will need their physical library card so that staff can manually enter the information once systems return to service.

Director Bruner apologizes for the inconvenience.
