Audrain County Health Department Launches NARCAN Program

In an effort to combat the opioid addiction crisis, the Audrain County Health Department will soon be offering NARCAN to area residents for free.

The program is not costing the health department anything as the funding is coming from the Missouri Institute of Mental Health using monies they received from national opioid settlements from drug manufacturers.

The kits, containing two doses of the drug and a card with directions on how to administer it, can be requested at the Audrain County Health Department, 1130 South Elmwood in Mexico during normal business hours beginning April 7th.
