KWWR Sports Report 5/11/23

After an opening round win over Mississippi State, Mizzou softball’s play in the SEC tournament has come to an end with a 7-2 loss last night (Wednesday) against Alabama.

The Tigers are 34-24 on the season and now await the NCAA selection show on Sunday.

The St. Louis Cardinals had their three game winning streak come to an end losing to the Chicago Cubs 10-4 at Wrigley Field last night (Wednesday).

The Redbirds jumped out with an early 2-0 lead, however that vanished as St. Louis ended getting out hit 14-10 by the Cubs.

St. Louis has the day off today as they travel to Boston to start a series with the Red Sox tomorrow night (Friday).

The Kansas City Royals cruised to a 9-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox at the K.

Kansas City goes for the series win this afternoon (Thursday).
