Community R-VI Baseball Advances to Elite Eight in State Tournament

The Community R-VI Trojans baseball team has advanced to the Quarterfinals of the State Baseball Tournament after defeating Northland Christian 5-1 in Kansas City tonight (Monday).

The Trojans never trailed.

Senior Gavin Allen put up another dominant pitching performance going 5 2/3 innings and allowing just one earned run.

Tucker Cox was 2-3 at the plate and scored two runs.

Junior Eli Johnson went 2-3 with an RBI. The Trojans will now get to host the Quarterfinals in Laddonia on Wednesday, May 24th at 5pm.

They will play Sacred Heart with a trip to the final four on the line.
