Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright reached a major milestone last night (Tuesday) at Busch Stadium as he collected his 200th career win.

Wainwright pitched seven innings of four-hit ball in a vintage performance leading St. Louis to a 1-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

John Rooney had the call as Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley made this pitch for the final out of the game.

Wainwright became the oldest Cardinals pitcher with an outing of seven or more scoreless innings.

Wilson Contreras provided the game’s only run with a home run in the fourth inning.

The Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Guardians 6-4 at the K.

Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have agreed to terms on a restructured contract that pays the quarterback $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026.

The contract is the highest paid in history over a four-year span.

Sides also plan to revisit the deal again after the 2026 season.

Missouri Tigers kicker Harrison Mevis is the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.

The SEC made the announcement yesterday after Mevis pulled off a 61-yard, game-winning, career-best field goal that propelled the Tigers to the win against Kansas State.

The field goal is longest in SEC history.

It is the second time Mevis has been named with the honor, as he was previously given it after the Georgia game last year.
