Mexico girls wrestling head coach Tony Senor says “This was a full team victory for our girls.

Tonight saw the return of Senior Katie Bowen at 115.

It has almost been two since she has wrestled and it is an accomplishment for her to just be back on the mat competing.

She went 2-0 and it is very helpful to have her in the lineup again to help win some matches.

Alyssa Knight and Jashayla Johnson had huge pins against Battle and that swung the match win in favor of Mexico.

Abby Bowen also bumped up to help the team win.

Karisa is also an ace in the whole and she is willing to wrestle 170 or 190 on any given night.

Proud of our girls and how far they have come since the beginning of the season.

We are in the home stretch to Districts with just a few tournaments and matches left.

Hoping to stay healthy and finish strong.”
