Mexico Wrestling Honors Former Centralia Coach Bryan Schmidt In Home Meet Against Centralia and Sullivan

The Mexico Bulldogs boys wrestling team honored former Centralia wrestling coach Bryan Schmidt during a meet last night at the Mexico High School. Everyone wore Smitty Style shirts to honor the former coach who passed away in November of 2021.

Mexico Wrestling Coach Gayle Adams says “I wanted to honor Bryan he was mentor and a friend to me and many others. He helped grow wrestling. The Schmidt family are great people hard working love wrestling and about helping others. I got every wrestler and coach a Smitty Style shirt that wrestled last night to pay respect to Bryan. Over 100 t-shirts that said Smitty Style were worn last night. It was awesome to see it.”

It was also senior night for the Mexico Bulldogs boys, the seniors honored were Ricardo Juarez, Ahrajah Givens, Dylan Mosley, Keith Ransom, Jokiah Sewell and Deacon Haag.
