The Mexico Lady Bulldogs will play the Centralia Lady Panthers in the semifinals of the Harrisburg Tournament tonight (Wednesday).

The winner will advance to the championship game that will be played on Saturday at 4pm.

The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team nearly upset the number one team in the country the Auburn Tigers at Mizzou Arena last night (Tuesday).

Jordan Pickett scored a 3 to bring Mizzou within one point with 35 seconds on the clock.

With no timeouts, Missouri decided to play it out, however time on the clock expired after Auburn missed a shot and the Tigers lost 55-54.

Jordan Pickett was the lead man for Mizzou scoring 17 points.

Up next Missouri will hit the road to play 23rd ranked Iowa State on Saturday.

Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu remains in concussion protocol after he was kicked in the head on Sunday.

The Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship on Sunday at 2 at Arrowhead.

In other NFL news Sean Payton announced yesterday (Tuesday) his decision to step away from the New Orleans Saints.

The 58 year old Payton was the Saints coach for 16 years and says he does not plan to coach another team in 2022.
