Not much progress made between Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association yesterday (Monday) as the 2 sides met to try to reach a new collective bargaining agreement.

Leadership from both sides met in offices overlooking the Spring Field in Jupiter, Florida where the St. Louis Cardinals train, to start an important week of negotiations in order to preserve Opening Day on March 31st.

The start of spring training has already been delayed with games postponed until at least March 5th as the owners continue to impose a lockout on players.

Ten players were in attendance for the meeting yesterday including Cardinals slugger Paul Goldschmidt.

The sides will meet again today (Tuesday).
