It was the Tigers 6th consecutive loss, making their record 10-20 on the year with one game left in the regular season.

Mizzou will look to get back in the win column Saturday against Georgia on senior night when they tip off the regular season finale at 2:30pm.

Major League Baseball is canceling opening day after lockout talks collapsed just hours before management’s deadline.

Commissioner Rob Manfred announced last night (Tuesday) he is canceling the first 2 series of the season that was set to start March 31st, dropping the schedule from 162 games to likely 156 games at most.

Manfred said the league and union have not made plans for future negotiations.

The announcement knocks the St. Louis Cardinals opening trip to Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs off the schedule, however leaves the home openers on April 7th against the Pirates on the calendar.

This is the 9th work stoppage in baseball history and is the first time in 27 years the sport will lose regular-season games over a labor dispute.
