Mexico Boys Basketball Defeats St. Charles West in Sectional Round of State Playoffs
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team defeated the St. Charles West Warriors 61-48 in the Sectional round of the State playoffs tonight (Tuesday) at the Troy-Buchanan High School.
The Bulldogs started the game off with a 6-0 run and never trailed in the game.
Mexico lead by as many 21 points, however St. Charles West would make a late game push and cut the deficit to just 9.
Three Bulldogs boys finished the game in double digits. Daeye Miller had a game high 20 points, Isaiah Reams recorded 14 points, and DJ Long had 11 points.
The Bulldogs held off the Warriors and improved their record to a perfect 28-0.
Up next Mexico will face Vashon with a trip to the Final 4 in Springfield on the line.
The game will be played at Francis Howell Central High School in St. Charles with a 2:45pm tip.
