The Mexico girls soccer team lost 8-0 to the Kirksville Tigers on the road last night (Wednesday) in their North Central Missouri Conference opener.

Mexico Head Coach Haley Schafer says her team got behind early and struggled to get back into the game with the weather being cold and rainy.

Lady Bulldogs goalie Tessa Haefling had 10 saves in the game.

The Mizzou baseball team dominated SIUE with a 12-2 victory in 7 innings yesterday (Wednesday).

The Tigers drove in 12 runs in a 10-run, 7th inning.

Mizzou improved to 15-7 on the season.

The St. Louis Cardinals offense went crazy in Albert Pujols’ first game back with the team beating the Washington Nationals 29-8 in Spring Training yesterday (Wednesday).

Pujols went 1 for 3 in his Grapefruit League debut.

Eight players had multiple hits for the Redbirds and 8 players drove in multiple runs.

Paul DeJong, Paul Goldschmidt, Yadier Molina hit the only home runs for the Cardinals.

St. Louis is back in action tonight (Thursday) at 5:30 when they play the Miami Marlins.

The Kansas City Royals lost 9-5 to the San Francisco Giants.

In hockey last night (Wednesday) the St. Louis Blues defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.

David Perron had 2 assists and Ville Husso made 22 saves for the Blues who also beat the Canucks 4-1 in St. Louis on Monday.

The Blues moved into third place in the Central Division, one point ahead of the Nashville Predators and 3 points behind the Minnesota Wild for second.
