The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team defeated the Hallsville Indians 13-7 last night (Friday).

Mexico collected 14 hits. Austin Maxwell, Brock Smythe, Jack Wilburn and Quayvon Belcher each had RBIs in a five run fourth inning.

Jack Wilburn got the win for Mexico going five innings. Andrew Runge threw two innings in relief and recorded the save.

The Bulldogs improved to 10-3 on the season.

The national Junior College Player of the Year Sean East II, has committed to play basketball at the ZOU.

Dennis Gates and the Tigers landed their latest player for the 2022-2023 roster as East committed to Missouri over finalists Oregon, South Florida, Kentucky, Clemson and BYU. East averaged almost 21 points per game last season at Logan College in Texas.

The St. Louis Cardinals blew out the Milwaukee Brewers 10-1 in Milwaukee last night (Friday).

Future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols stole the show with some unique relief work of his own.

Yadier Molina, had the night off completely and Pujols volunteered to catch starting pitcher Miles Mikolas in between innings when starting catcher Andrew Knizner, was left on base or in the on-deck circle.

Tommy Edman and Nolan Arenado each went yard for the Redbirds in the win.

The Kansas City Royals lost 2-1 to the Detroit Tigers at the K last night (Friday).

Spencer Torkelson hit a mammoth two-run homer in the seventh inning that wiped out a Royals lead.
