The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team defeated the Kirksville Tigers 5-3 at home last night (Thursday).

The Bulldogs pulled away with four runs in the third inning.

Jack Wilburn took the win for the Bulldogs going seven innings, allowing three runs and four hits and striking out four.

Andrew Runge went 2-4 at the plate for Mexico and led the team in hits.

Mexico improved to 11-4 on the season and are back in action tonight (Friday) at home when they host Father Tolton.

The Mexico Boys Tennis Team lost 5-4 to Father Tolton yesterday (Thursday).

The St. Louis Cardinals were shut out 5-0 by the Miami Marlins in Miami last night (Thursday).

Jordan Hicks made his first pitching start for the Redbirds and allowed only two hits over three innings.

Nolan Arenado went 3-4 at the plate for the Cardinals.

The Kansas City Royals were blanked by 1-0 by the Minnesota Twins.

The St. Louis Blues came from behind with a 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on the road last night (Thursday).

The Blues extended their point streak to a team record 14 games.

St. Louis is 12-0-2 in its past 14 games.

Mizzou Basketball head coach Dennis Gates is announcing the hiring of a third assistant coach.

Kyle Smithpeters, a former junior college coach has been added to the staff as of yesterday (Thursday).

He joins the Tigers following a successful 10-year stint as the head coach at John A. Logan Community College, where he compiled an overall record of 241-73.

In college baseball the Missouri Tigers lost 5-3 to the 22nd ranked LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge in the series opener.

A three-run fifth inning propelled LSU to the win.

Mizzou and LSU play again tonight (Thursday) at 6:30.

In the NBA Playoffs last night (Thursday), the Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 118-113 to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the round 1 series.

The Dallas Mavericks bested the Utah Jazz and lead the series 2-1.

And the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-95 and lead the series 2-1.
