The St. Louis Cardinals dropped game one of a five game series to the Chicago Cubs 7-5 at Wrigley Field last night (Thursday).

Redbirds slugger Paul Goldschmidt was able to extend his hitting streak to 24 games.

The St. Louis Cardinals are saying rookie Nolan Gorman could be back in the starting lineup in today’s game (Friday) against the Chicago Cubs.

Gorman has been bothered by lower back stiffness the past two days, but took batting practice and ground balls yesterday (Thursday).

So far the rookie has hit two 400-foot home runs and added three doubles in his first 10 MLB games.

The Cardinals and Cubs play again this afternoon at 1:20.

The Missouri Tigers football team has made a late addition to the 2022 team.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz landed a commitment from an offensive lineman out of the JUCO ranks as Ma’Kyi Lee announced his pledge to the Tigers this week.

Lee played at Coffeyville Kansas Community College the last two seasons and is 6’6 and 320 pounds.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors 120-108 last night (Thursday) in game 1 of the NBA finals.

Game 2 of the NBA finals takes place on Sunday night.
